As long as I can remember I’ve been fishing!  From golf course ponds in Fallbrook, California where I grew up to deep sea fishing down in Mexico to river fishing as far north as the Yukon.  Fishing is in my blood!  I started fishing Alaska in the Fall of 1986 in Valdez and from that point on knew fishing Alaska was something I wanted to do.  I spent almost a decade fishing throughout Alaska.

Since that time I’ve guided for Kokanee salmon throughout Northern California and fished King Salmon and Rockfish out of Fort Bragg, California.  Then I returned to Alaska with my wife for a vacation in Ketchikan and we fell in love with the area!  The next year we moved to Ketchikan and now I am guiding and commercial fishing in one of the most beautiful places in Alaska!

I am a licensed Coast Guard merchant marine with a 50 ton license.  I am First Aid and CPR certified.

My goal: As your Charter Captain, I aim to make your Alaskan experience one you will always remember.  Putting you on fish is my #1 goal, but I also take great pleasure in showing my guests the awesome beauty of the southeast landscape including opportunities to see populations of eagles, seabirds, humpback whales, killer whales, large schools of porpoise and some local history!

The best part of my job is watching the excitement on the faces of my guests when hooking into The Big One or their First One!
